The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida

                                        



                                       The Magic Kingdom was the first park to open in Walt Disney World in 1971, and has since become the most visited theme park in the world. This is DoingFlorida's guide, with information about Magic Kingdom and its attractions.
                                 

                                    The first thing to know about Magic Kingdom is that it was originally based on the layout and attractions of the Disneyland park in California, and now forms the heart of the Walt Disney World resort along with three other theme parks, two water parks and countless other attractions.

Main Street USA

                             Main Street USA is the first area to greet guests upon entering the Magic Kingdom.With the iconic Cinderella Castle standing at the end, this is probably the image that most people see when they think about Magic Kingdom.

Adventureland

                          Adventureland is a themed area based upon different exotic ocations - Asia, Africa, South America and the Caribbean.
The popular Pirates of the Caribbean attraction is one of many within Adventureland, along with the definitely-not-typical-Disney Jungle Cruise.

Liberty Square

                           Liberty Square is based on a colonial town set around the time of the American Revolution.
                           The Hall of Presidents attraction is deceptively small from the outside but inside hosts an impressive presentation featuring animatronic versions of the American presidents.

Frontierland

                     Not surprisingly Frontierland is based upon the American Old West.
Two of the most popular Magic Kingdom attractions are based in Frontierland - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (pictured) and Splash Mountain.

Fantasyland

                        Fantasyland has been a part of the Magic Kingdom since it opened, but has been extensively remodelled during 2011 & 2012 to provide a brand new experience.
                         There are new areas themed around classic Disney movies such as Beauty and the Beast, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Tomorrowland

                           Tomorrowland represents a 1960's vision of the future, with some of those predictions [roving more accurate then others!
Attractions here include Spae Mountain (pictured) Buzz Lightyear's Space Range Spin, and the Carousel of Progress.

Cinderella Castle

                            Cinderella Castle represents every child's (and adult's!) vision of a fairytale castle.

Standing at the central 'hub' of the Magic Kingdom, at the end of Main Street USA, the castle is the iconic centerpiece of the most visited theme park in the world.
